Ozarks Food Harvest is the Feeding America food bank for southwest Missouri serving 28 Ozarks counties. Each of the empty bowls featured here serves as a reminder of the children struggling with hunger in southwest Missouri. Empty Bowls was the final major event of Hunger Action Month a month-long awareness campaign held every September when Ozarks Food Harvest encourages community members to take a stand against hunger. Since 2014 Empty Bowls has collected over 14000 in donations providing over 70000 meals through Ozarks Food Harvests feeding programs. Local artists donated more than 200 bowls to The Food Bank to support weekend meals for children across the Ozarks.

The Empty Bowls fundraiser to benefit Ozarks Food Harvest looks a lot different this year. Friday at Panera Bread 4100 S. Empty Bowls 2020 features over 240 beautiful ceramic and wooden bowls that have been handcrafted by local artists and donated to Ozarks Food Harvest to be auctioned off to.

The Ozarks Food Harvest Empty Bowls fundraiser is going virtual this year. Diners make a donation to receive a bowl created by a local artist as well as a meal of soup and bread. All the funds raised from this years event will support the Weekend Backpack Program.
